Front-load washers: around the door opening or inside the door frame
Top-load washers: under the lid or along the rear/top edge
Dryers: around the door opening, inside the door frame, or near the rear/top edge
Laundry centers or stacked units: inside the washer or dryer door area, or along the cabinet frame
Where to Find Dishwasher Model Numbers
Dishwasher model numbers are usually found around the door opening. Open the dishwasher door and check the left side, right side, top edge, or inside frame area.

Where to Find Oven, Range, and Cooktop Model Numbers
Cooking appliance model numbers can be located in several different places depending on the appliance style. Check carefully around the frame, drawer area, door opening, or underside of the cooktop if accessible.
Ranges: around the oven door frame, behind the storage drawer, warming drawer, or lower panel
Wall ovens: around the oven door opening or side frame
Cooktops: underneath the cooktop, along the bottom, or near the cabinet opening if accessible
Ovens: around the door frame or behind the lower drawer/panel
Where to Find Grill Model Numbers
Grill model numbers are usually located on a rating plate or sticker on the grill body, inside a cabinet door, on the back of the grill, under a side shelf, or near the control panel area.

Model Number vs. Serial Number
The model number identifies the appliance design or product line. The serial number identifies the individual appliance. For repair purposes, the model number is usually the most important number to provide first, but the serial number can also be helpful in some cases.
